The dream of falling which effects you so much that you wake up means:
That you are suffering from extreme insecurity during this period or sometime before you went to sleep.
It could also happen due to an event that had a strong frustrating effect on you leaving you feeling helpless.
Dreams of falling are very common as one drifts between the waking state and sleeping. Often the dreams represent a literal expression of "falling asleep." These early sleep cycle dreams have no other special meaning.
Falling can merely represent "falling" asleep, especially if the dream occurs shortly after going to bed. At other times, a filling dream can symbolize feeling totally out of control in some area of life.
If you dream of falling it means that you are scared of the future and are unknowing of it
when i was in rehab for 3 months last year they mentioned this like 4 times, its basically a muscle spasm of some sort and you wake up right after it and you feel like you fell off the bed right before you wake up. *my theory is that when you get the muscle spasm, your body reacts in a sub-conscience way and you wake up very fast, your mind gets kind of confused and you feel like your falling right after the muscle spasm than you wake up. the falling part the answer to why you feel like your free falling right before you wake up, no clue, the physical part of feeling like your freefalling is all in the mentals, if you dig throught the internet you can find some stuff but you cant really credit much of it,

This dream suggests feelings of being out of control and fear of being hurt as a result. Repetitive dreams tend to recur until the problem or situation is resolved in real life.
If falling dreams occur just as you are drifting off to sleep, they simply represent the conscious mind's resistance to "falling" asleep. Falling down is a literal expression of "falling" asleep, usually accompanied by a physical jerk that awakens you. At other times during the night, falling dreams may express your sense of being out of control and your anxiety about not being able to help yourself in your current situation.
Most falling dreams occur in the early stages of sleep, just as the dreamer is drifting off to sleep. Falling in the dream is word play on "falling asleep." The conscious mind is resisting the release of control to the subconscious mind, resulting in the sensation of falling and subsequent jerk into wakefulness.
It means you have done something bad in the past you must do good in the day to forget about the dream.

This dream sounds as if it is describing a person who has big, exciting plans than never get off the ground - in fact, they keep losing ground.
Well mostly it's only a dream. But sometimes some people dream things that will really happen in the future. If your dream contained something unrealistic(even if it's just one thing that has nothing to do with the rest of your dream) then the dream never will really happen. But if nothing unrealistic happens in the dream then the chance of happening are 50 %. Does this answer your question or do you need more info. Falling dreams, while frightening, often represent the body's reaction to the relaxation of muscles when in the process of "falling" asleep. The subconscious combines the physical sensation with the literal meaning of the expression "falling asleep" to produce a dream of falling.
