I was taught that removing the oil cap while the engine is running was a bad idea. But I would suggest you call the service manager at the dealership for your car and ask them.
When your car stalls when its raining, it may be getting water in the distributor cap. Make sure the cap is on properly.

Take off your distributor cap and use a blow dryer to dry out the cap and components. Its possible you have a hair line fracture in the cap.
My car does the same. Its the coils(spark plugs) or it could be the distributor cap.
It can mean that the temperature is too hot or you have a bad radiator cap.
It is the cap that screws into the gas tank to keep the gas in, and the elements out.
Defective alternator.
Start the car, then pull the fuel pump relay and any fuses for the fuel pump. Run the car until it dies. Or, you can just pop off the gas cap.
