When normally a male bearded dragon bobs it's head up and down, it's telling you that it's the boss or that it's in charge of everything. Sometimes bearded dragons bob their head when they are annoyed! Head bobbing can be seen in females as well; this will be a much slower motion, more exaggerated motion and is a sign of submission to a dominant male.
There are 2 kinds of Bearded Dragons, dominant dragons and submissive dragons.
There are 2 ways these dragons show what they are, a dominant dragon will bob it's head like it is nodding and a submissive dragon will wave it's arms.
So if your beardie is bobbing it's head that means it's showing it's dominance.
I have owned a bearded dragon for ten years, and it is quite common for them to bob their heads. It is often taken as a sign of aggression or excitement. For example, if they are defensive of their share of food or territory, they will bob their heads. Or if you take them outside and they are enjoying the sun and the view, they bob their heads because they are happy.
Hope this helped :)
the bearded dragon is showing domination, saying, "this is my place!" other times they are bobbing their heads because they feel threatened, angry, of scared.
It means they are being dominant, their showing you or other creatures that they are the boss.
When they wave their arm in a circle it's the opposite, they are being submissive
it is hungry, it wants something to eat like insects. or you.....
Head bobbing is a sign of dominance for a bearded dragon. It is common to see male beardies head bob and less common amongst females as they are usually a little more relaxed. It is perfectly normal so nothing to worry about.
It depends what you mean by 'like a bearded dragon' Depending on the circumstances, Bearded Dragons communicate with their peers by head-bobbing, and arm waving. If you mean can a human communicate with a bearded dragon, then the answer is no !
If you mean by resemble; what does a bearded dragon look like, I would probably say an Ankylosaurus.
Bearded dragons are nice, but if you are mean to them they will be mean to you.
The Lizard in "Nim's Island" is a Bearded Dragon
That white stuff is urates. Its the bearded dragons pee.
They do it when they are ready to come out!
If you mean what protects it in the wild then it's the spikes around the head, neck and down their sides. These spikes get hard and sharp when they feel threatened or scared.
If your bearded dragon is more than 18 months old it is considered within mating age, anything less than 18 months and your bearded dragon is too young. If you are not sure of your bearded dragon's age is of mating age and it is a male then you can introduce it for a short time to another male. If you observe territorial behavior in your male than it is of mating age.
the bearded part is because they have a beard(made of scales), and the dragon part is because they look like dragons.
Yes they r they only bite you if your mean to them or actcidentally bite you
is it mating season if it isn't territorial
