Unless you are married he may feel its none of your business (and it isn't really) or he may be embarrassed about it. It is still important to have communication flowing between you. Without it you have no relationship. Try talking to him about it and DON'T get mixed up by helping him pay for his debts. This man has lost everything and has to start all over again and there is Statute of Limitations as to when the bankruptcy will become null and void and he can start to build up his credit rating again. When you go bankrupt you are basically telling your creditors you are broke and they can't get blood out of a stone.
