He may, for several reasons, not want to be seen with you when his freinds, or other potential girlfriends are around. But when school is over, and those other people are gone, he finds it convenient to be with you. Most likely, he is trying to keep himself available for other relationships. Part of the dating, and mating, game is to explore the possibilities. That is what he may be doing. The best advice I can give you is to talk to him about it. If he keeps changing the subject, then maybe you should change boyfriends. I think that the fact that he is seeing you after school is a good thing. Absense makes the heart grow fonder and I bet he likes to see you walking round school with your friends and it turns him on that he can't talk to you. It is good to have space too because if you are constantly with each other you will get bored and will have nothing to talk about.
