This depends only if the creditor originally reported your account to your credit report.
Typically these types of actions can be seen on your credit within 30-60 days. There are no laws or rules that requires a credit reporter to immediately post "closed" or "settled" to an individuals credit. Most just report data to the credit bureaus once monthly.

A charged off account is similar to a collection on your credit report. The creditor has written off the debt owed and closed the account. The debt is still valid though and can be collected on.
