I am sorry to say, but I think you are pushing things to the limit. He is your ex, you should have walked away, and he's being polite just talking to you. Sounds like he doesn't want to hurt you. I think his statement is very clear ... he doesn't want you to think because you two are talking that he wants to get back with you. It's really time to move on. Good luck Marcy
