You have it in the manual setting, and that is a 1 for 1st gear. need to put it back into automatic or hit to the right for 2,3,4 gears
I would really like some pictures if possible.
Change your transmission oil it happen to me . And have your mechanic check the transmission you might have metal shavings in the transmission which is really bad.
It really depends on the engine/transmission application of the vehicle.
Yes. Will it be cheap? Probably not, unless your car is really old. Transmission and engine work are probably the most expensive modifications you can make to a car.
the fuse panel is clearly "WARNED" and "LABELED" in the engine compartment on the right hand side, really impossible to miss.
Yes, this really can happen. The transmission modulator ruptures and vacuum system system draws out trans fluid into engine oil thru vacuum pump into engine crankcase. Been there, done that. I replaced the modulator valve and dropped engine oil.
Not really feasible. The engine and transmission are removed as an unit out the bottom. You would need a way to lift the car high enough to get the engine out.
This is not really an answer, but I have a problem with a wiring harness on my 93 caravan also. I have not gotten to the point of solving the problem, but was wondering if you got your problem solved and if you found a diagram and where did you get your wiring harness? Another searcher!!!!
If speed indicator works probably a bad gear in the speedometer head
looking at the engine from the front, its on the right, really far in the back where the transmission is bolted to the engine. under and left of the brake master cylinder.
It would be best not to put any transmission fluid in the engine. Really!! I'd never of guessed. I guess the clue is 'transmission and fluid' and that the fluid goes in the transmission!! the reason I put the type of engine was IOT assist someone with a realistic answer, I didn't expect for one minute the answer I received, but this is America!!
I really don't think that's possible.
