First up, I dont mean to shock you, and interpretations mean absolutely nothing as long as you dont get obsessed by them. Second, you need to know, that for different cultures, a given color means different things. Eastern culture wise, It's possible that the black snake is your past that you are holding on to. If you are from a western society, black means death in the family . Yellow means purity when its on a snake. If theres black with yellow stripes on the snake it may mean the death of someone pure in your family. Such as a new born. But again, Id advise you not to take it too seriously.

The action that the snake takes is one of importance: Is the snake it attacking: It could be protection of the person or entity or it could mean that something in you is harsh and doesn't meet specific standards. If the snake is just resting: that the presence of wisdom is for your undertaking and that it's up to you respect the force behind it.
