un ballon à air chaud is a hot air balloon in French.
Ballon means either 'balloon' (a hot-air balloon) or 'ball' (at least the size of the handball one).
Deflate is to allow air to escape from a balloon.
A balloon at a children's party is 'un ballon'. A hot-air balloon is 'une Montgolfiere'.

Ballooning means "ascending in a balloon", "rising high in the air, similar to a balloon", or "growing rapidly, such as a balloon".
A hot air balloon does not have any mean of steering and does not have permanent flotation. An airship has a permanent means of flotation (lighter than air gas bags) and a means of propulsion.
The word "deflated" means that all of the air or gas has been let out. So, a deflated balloon is one that no longer has any air in it.
NO a french paper make did though!
If there is warm air in the balloon, cooler air makes the balloon rise and if there is cold air in the balloon warmer air makes the balloon fall.
