No but, if you leave a plug wire disconnected and not grounded while running the engine, you can damage the ignition module.
The glow plug relay is on the drivers side of the truck in a relay box on the chassis frame behind the drivers side tire. which module is it?
you must take the top module off the engine and then remove the rubber plugs that are on top of the spark plug, then use the spark plug sockets to get them out you must take the top module off the engine and then remove the rubber plugs that are on top of the spark plug, then use the spark plug sockets to get them out you must take the top module off the engine and then remove the rubber plugs that are on top of the spark plug, then use the spark plug sockets to get them out
It is under the dash. I believe I remember it to be the two plug module above the parking brake.
alot of the time it is a wiring problem between the engine control module and the transmisssion plug. you can test this wire for continuity The yel/bk wire on pin 44 on the blue plug on the ecm module. directly next to your battery and in front of your altenator. you will need to remove plug wires and nuts underneath using 11m wrench and remove plug in front of module with 7m wrench then use starbits to tack apart coilpacks and the module is the bottom part

If it has a 3.0 L engine, the module is located to the left of the coils bolted to the intake on a shiny silver plate. It has a a three wire plug and a six wire plug in the top of it.
It's actually a module and its called a GPCM (glow plug control module) On every 6.0L its on the front of the right valve cover. It has a big green and black connectors you can't miss it!! Powerstroke57
