Best Answer

A:

Since time immemorial, religion has sought to explain why we are here and how we came to be. This almost invariably results in stories about the creation of the world and of the first humans. In more recent times, science has come along and told us what really happened, which can result in comparisons between the religious explanations and the scientific ones.

The Dalai Lama says that when Buddhism and science are in disagreement, then Buddhism must change. However, some other religions find this a more difficult and sometimes painful process.
