This happens frequently when playing games on the computer, or typing for a long time. Leaning on the left arm of a chair while watching TV can also pinch nerves in the arm or shoulder. Repetitive motion (carpal tunnel syndrome) from typing, thumbing a game controller, or even texting can contribute to tingling and numbness. Diabetes can also cause problems. So seriously consider seeing your doctor and get a blood test.
