He may be in a bad mood... you never know. But don't act upset. You should tell him that you want him to be there with you if your also in the class, but don't ask why he is being so rude, it could lead to him getting really pissed off. That's if your in a relationship with him, if not, heres what you should do. If hes a good friend of yours, tell him to cut it if he wants. You could tell him you don't go because you don't want to suffer alone.
Him doing this could show a bad day, not liking the teacher at all, or just needing to be alone. It usaully helps to just shut up instead.
