On June 26, 2015, Hillary Clinton applauded the Supreme Court's decision in Obergefell vs Hodges. The Defense of Marriage Act of 1996 was declared unconstitutional in 2013. Over the last few years, the federal government has supported the rights of same sex couples and the states have had to follow along. In general, the Democrats believe in equal respect, responsibilities, and protections under the law for everyone.
The Green Party supports gay rights and marriage equality.
Generally, most Democratic party members who are married are in traditional marriages and are supportive of traditional marriage. But Democrats realize that families come in many forms and do not limit the idea of marriage to traditional sexual boundaries. Because certain governmental and societal benefits accrue to the historical "traditional marriage" Democrats are not people who object to other forms of marriage that are sought by large numbers of nontraditional supporters. As a result of this expanded vision Democrats are generally in support of gay marriage rights.
The Democratic party favors gay rights more than the Republican party does.

The Democratic Party officially supports equality for gay people. The Republican Party officially opposes gay rights.
Yes, the Green Party supports gay marriage.
Democrats in recent politics are considered the more liberal of the two parties, while Republicans are related with conservative viewpoints. A liberal party is one that, by definition, seeks progressive reforms in government for the good of the public. For example, the Democratic Party is in support of Gay Marriage and Abortion Rights, a support for the freedom of homosexuals and women. In this instance, the modern Democratic Party would be considered the party of free and progressive ideals.
People don't think this. Gay marriage has nothing to do with a country's economy.
Look at the source: the Democratic Party's web site (under the related links below):
Fascism has several key aspects. They include: Dominance by a dictator - which neither party has Appeals to strident nationalism - certainly more Republican Promotes suspicion or hatred of foreigners and "impure" people within their nation (think Jews in Germany) - if you are aware of freedom fries, border fences, and opposition to gay marriage, than you know which party that sounds like. Now before you accuse me of saying this because I am a Democrat, I should point out that whereas the Republican party is closer to Fascism, the Democratic party is closer to Communism.
