Sometimes, but liberalism vs. conservatism doesn't always have a bearing on anti- or pro-gay views. A republican is much more likely to not support gays, but democrats have more split opinions. However, to a certain extent, they are more likely to.

Yes, but there are some exceptions-- very conservative Democrats, as well as those who are over the age of 70, may still oppose it. However, according to surveys, the vast majority of Democrats do support the right of gay couples to marry. Interestingly, there are also some Republicans who agree: Republicans who approve of same-sex marriage tend to be younger, with moderate religious views; many libertarians also support it.

What do moderate Republicans and radical Republicans disagree on?

Moderate Republicans believe in the core beliefs of the Republican Party (smaller government and fiscal responsibility) while finding common ground with Democrats on legislation. A Moderate Republican could favor gay marriage and be pro choice or they could believe in progressive taxation and alternative energy just to name a few things. Most Moderate Republican's are against the Religious Right.

Do Democrats disagree on gay rights?

Most Democrats believe in gay rights and believe in protecting gays against discrimination, most are firmly against the military's "Don't ask, don't tell" policy (which ironically was signed by a Democrat). But Democrats are split in their beliefs on gay marriage. Although most Democrats don't want there to be an amendment that defines marriage as between a man and woman, some of those same Democrats don't want gay marriage made legal mostly due to religious reasons. Practically all Demcrats support civil unions for gays.

What does the Democratic Party think about traditional marriage?

Generally, most Democratic party members who are married are in traditional marriages and are supportive of traditional marriage. But Democrats realize that families come in many forms and do not limit the idea of marriage to traditional sexual boundaries. Because certain governmental and societal benefits accrue to the historical "traditional marriage" Democrats are not people who object to other forms of marriage that are sought by large numbers of nontraditional supporters. As a result of this expanded vision Democrats are generally in support of gay marriage rights.

When did the conflict to legalize same-sex marriage begin?

Much of the gay rights movement started in the early 1970s. Gay marriage in Canada was first legalized in 2005. The first state to legalize gay marriage (I believe Massachussetts) did it around the same time.

Is malia obama gay?

No, there isn't any evidence that she is. You may have read that she and her sister Sasha were advocating to their dad to support gay marriage (marriage equality). But many straight people believe gay people should have equal rights. Sasha and Malia are not gay, but they have met some gay couples, and they wanted President Obama to change his views on gay marriage (which he eventually did).

What does the Democratic party think about gay marriage?

On June 26, 2015, Hillary Clinton applauded the Supreme Court's decision in Obergefell vs Hodges. The Defense of Marriage Act of 1996 was declared unconstitutional in 2013. Over the last few years, the federal government has supported the rights of same sex couples and the states have had to follow along.
