BPC’s Immigration Task Force is working to develop and promote
policy options among its diverse group and is focusing on
four primary issue areas: controlling the flow of unauthorized
immigration, legalization and citizenship, legal immigration, and
economic impacts.
The task force members are committed to helping to keep the
current political momentum going through targeted public events
and engagement as well as the production of objective analysis
on a range of key topics. While the task force began with no
stated view on the merits of a single approach or a sequence of
legislative actions, members believe that it is important to have
a deliberate, thoughtful, and transparent approach to reform.
Through such a process, bipartisan consensus can be reached to
fix a system that is fundamentally broken.
