Remember that when you were little she loved any effort you put forth. That hasn't changed. Give her a framed recent picture of you and your siblings, or a package family photo shoot for everyone, or if she doesn't get out very often a gift card for dinner and a movie w you and/or dad. Even ma needs a date every so often. Maybe a book on an issue she enjoys or concerns herself with. If she's particularly elderly maybe a comfy pair of shoes. Nature lovers love bird houses and flowers. Write her a poem print it up on pretty paper and frame it for her. Thoughtful handmade gifts are the best. Try making a picture frame prettier by adding a design of birch twigs and bark, or build a bird house. but nothing is better than good old fashion quality time. Take her on a road trip. Doing even simple things like taking a walk or making candles together can make a mother very happy!
