As a christian and also a Survivor of incest, I can tell you from personal experience that forgiveness is key. Unforgiveness can eat you up, with anger and depression. I have been there.

But it doesn't have to, you can choose to be free. See Jesus died for ALL people to be free from ALL sin and ALL the bad feelings that go long with it, that's how great his love is. No sin is too big for His grace. Jesus loves you because he loves you because he loves you. Unconditional. And when you have that revelation of how great His love is, that he forgives you, that he washes you clean, clean from EVERYTHING you have done and EVERYTHING that was done to you, EVERYTHING that made you feel unclean, He washed from you. He loves you and forgives you. When you get that true revelation, you realize that it's contradictory to then hold hate and unforgiveness for someone else.

"A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another" (John 13:34).

"But I tell you who hear me: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you" (Luke 6:27-28).

These too were also spoken by Jesus himself.

I have prayed out loud for my dad, that had molested me. When I still hated him, I prayed for things I wanted for myself, for him. The more I prayed the softer my heart got and now I have found forgiveness and love for him. It is purely God inside of me, working on my heart.

Also It states in The Bible many times such as Ephesians 6:2, Matthew 19:19, Matthew 15:4 "Honor your Mother and Father." For a long time I thought to myself; "Well if you knew MY father... Phooy I don't have to honor him.

How can I?"

But amazingly with time and contuining in prayer for him and giving my unforgiveness for my dad over to God because the Bible states to cast your cares on to God and He will provide for you. So I did this.

So my advice to you is: 1. pray for good things for your parents. 2. Pray for your unforgiveness, your hurt, your anger and surrender it up to God. 3. After you do this and next time when you find yourself angery or in unforgiveness of something they did just pray "thank you" to God because you know he took that burden from you and you had taken it back but now you are casting it back to him and, thank him for working on your heart.

You will be suprized of the transformation that will occur. And If you don't belive in God pray for God to reveal himself to you in some way, He will. The Bible says if you seek him he will draw closer to you.

God Bless you.
