Where is the evap system purge and vent solenoids located on a Buick LaSabre?

usually in front or on top of the gas tank. If you are getting a code like P0449 "Evap Vent Solenoid Control Circuit Malfunction" You could first check the wiring at the solenoid for corrsion, if OK change the valve. If the solenoid is on the top of the tank you have to drop the tank It is not by the tank. The purge valve is right on top of the odd #'d bank's intake. There are two vacuum lines running to it.

1997 dodge stratus diagnostic code 31?

If it is the MIL code you are talking about, my manual shows 31 as being associated with the EVAP system. Problem is that there are many "31" codes for EVAP. What is needed is the scan code. Like P1495 or P1494. All of these scan codes are listed under a "31" MIL code. P0443: EVAP emission control system purge valve C fault. P0441: Insufficient or excessive vapor flow detected. P0442: EVAP emission control system leak (small) P0445: Leak detection monitor is unable to pressurize the system (large leak) P1486: Plug or pinch detected between purge solenoid and fuel tank. P1495: Leak detection pump solenoid circuit fault. P1494: Leak detection pump switch does not respond to input. You can get more info on the scan codes at you local library. Locally here (Seattle), I can access All Data and Chilton via the library. No fee. I assume you have the same. Good luck.

How do you change evap emission?

Can't!! EVAP is the system that purges and burns vapors from gas tank. It either holds pressure like it should or has leak. Or the vent solenoid or control of solenoid is inop.

The purge valve on the '96 626 is located on the passenger side of the engine. It bolts onto the intake manifold. There are 3 valves that make up this unit and all three are bolted on as one piece. Hope this helps. You can go to any auto parts website and search for purge valve and it will show you what it looks like.

Where purge control valve located on a 2001 Hyundai Sonata?

The purge control valve is on backside of the throttle-body...it looks like a plastic inlet pipe that is missing tubing. There should be a small white/yellowish "cap" blocking the opening of the valve, just inside the inlet entrance. If it is turned-sideways (in constant open position) then you will have difficulty starting your car after filling-up at the pump. I have photos and will try to upload later....
