An atmosphere is a measurment of pressure with one atmosphere being equal to the air pressure at sea level, approximately 15 P.S.I. 7 to 8 atmospheres would be approximately 105 to 120 Pounds Per Square Inch of pressure.

Im guessing that tyre is a typo and is supposed to be a "tire" of some vehicle. Anyway the suggested pressure is the ideal pressure inside your rear tires. 1 ATM (or atmopshere) is the standard atmospheric pressure at sea level. Just look up the conversion rates online between "ATM" and the units of measurement on your tire pressure gauge. Some of these units might be kPa (kilo pascals), torr, or mm/Hg (or millimeters Mercury).

What dose 10 ATM mean on a wrist watch?

It's a watch for underwater use, it will stand pressure up to 10 Atmospheres or 100m

What does 0atm on a watch mean?

It means that you are at 0 atmospheres of pressure (1 atm is sea level so I dont know why it would say 0)

What does 5 ATM mean on a wrist watch?

"ATM" stands for ATMospheres and the number before it, refers to the number of atmospheres of pressure the watch will withstand before leaking. At sea level we are all subjected to one atmosphere of pressure, because we have one atmosphere of air above us pressing down. For every 33 feet (10 metres) underwater you go, the pressure increases by 1 atmosphere. Therefore, at 33 feet underwater the pressure is 2 atmospheres (2 ATM), at 66 feet underwater the pressure is 3 atmospheres (3 ATM), etc. So 5 ATM is equivalent to 132 feet (40 metres) underwater. In conclusion, the ATM rating of a watch is the number of atmospheres of pressure the watch will withstand before breaking/leaking. To convert ATM 's into the depth rating in metres just subtract 1 and multiply by 10. eg: 5 ATM = (5 - 1)*10 = 40 metres.

What does 10 ATM mean on a watch?

ATM = Atmospheres. It means the amount of pressure the watch can take in atmospheres before failure is assumed. 2 ATM is about 1/2 a meter under water. so drop it in the sink and you're ok,,, drop it in the Mariana trench and kiss it goodbye ;)

What does 10 ATM mean on a wrist watch?

It means 10 atmospheres. This usually indicates a watch will remain waterproof to a depth of 10 atmospheres or about 340 feet of water.

What does low tire pressure mean and how do you reset it on a Ford Flex?

It means the tire pressure is low... try filling the tires up to the suggested PSI, if it doesn't automatically reset try pressing the reset button.

What does 3 ATM mean on wrist watches?

"3 ATM" on a watch is a pressure rating for 3 atmospheres (a unit of pressure equivalent to three times Earth's atmosphere) which is roughly equivalent to 30 meters (~100 feet) of water resistance (though most manufacturers will not recommend you swim or dive with it at all)

What does water resistant to 5 atmospheres mean?

In the case of a watch it means that the crystal and stem seal are capable of resisting pressures of 5 atmospheres. Water pressure builds up rapidly when you swim and it's good to know that your watch can handle normal swimming. You would need to look up pressures at the different depths to find out how far down that is. 1 atmosphere = about10 meters (32 feet) of water. so 5 atmospheres would be 50 meters or 160 feet.

What does it mean when divers watches say they are 'pressurised to three atmospheres''?

An atmosphere is sometimes used as a unit of pressure, meaning approximately 15 pounds per square inch. When a diver descends, the weight of the water above him exerts pressure on his body. At a depth of approximately 32 feet, the weight of the water will amount to 15 pounds per square inch, or one additional atmosphere. So three atmospheres means the diver is experiencing 45 pounds per square inch on his body at a depth of about 64 feet.
