Your question cannot be answered because you didn't tell us what the green wire is in. Are you talking about a car? Or what?

Anne Franks favorite color was Green, I remember I read it in a book about her.
Reference book: Tanks in the Wire. Battle of Lang Vei in 1968. NVA PT76 Amphibious light tanks over-ran a Green Beret outpost there.
Perhaps Basque/Spanish in origin it would mean "green country".
Green is normally a ground wire, but without seeing the wore and how it is connected there is no way to tell for sure.
The green wire on the light fixture is a ground wire. If there is no ground wire in the conduit, the green wire should be attached to the metal box with a screw.
Yes green wire is the earth wire (Grounding)
What is a dissy. Do you mean Distributor?
Black wire? You mean black insulation? If so, a black insulated wire would generally be a non-grounded conductor (preferably the hot line) and should not be connected to ground anywhere. However, someone may have improperly used a black wire for grounding, rather than green wire (or green/yel wire), or forgotten to wrap it with green tape.
3 colors? red black green and yellow? i count 4... red is your active, or live wire. black is return, or negative wire. green is your earthing wire and yellow is more than likely a control, for a switch, possibly a heating fan or towel railing?
No. Green should always signify the ground wire.
