Many biblical numerologist would associated the number 5 with God's 'grace' or goodness to mankind. These would point to the 5 Books of the Law (first five in Bible) or Jesus feeding the 5000 with 5 fishes.

Some others consider five and its multiples to be a sign of God's 'judgment' upon mankind and point to Noah being 500 years old when God announced the worldwide Flood and destruction of all animal (man) life.
