Muslims want to live a pure life in the Straight Path of God (Sirat Al-Mustakim). They follow the example of Prophet Muhammad. And they follow the five pillars of Islam believe and six pillars of Faith. They want to please God and worship God first of all because God states in the Quraan that the creation was created to worship God. They want God's pleasure and to be admitted into God's Paradise. Muslims want peace every where in the world and they want to live in peace.

Followers of Radical Islam are sometimes called fundamentalists. They are those Muslims who are very careful and very keen to strictly apply Islam fundamentals and practices as commanded by Quran and Sunnah (prophet Muhammad PBUH sayings and practices. Accordingly, the problem is not in the fundamentalists or radical Islam followers that they strictly apply Islam fundamentals (which is good attitude) but in their misunderstanding of the Islam fundamentals. Islam basic fundamentals call for peace, condemn innocent killings and mass destruction, forbid compulsion in religion and faith, encourage cooperation and mutual respect with all cultures and races, and encourage forgiveness and tolerance. These objectives and fundamentals are what radical Islam followers want. Refer to related questions below.

Answer B

there is no animosity between the Sunni and the Shi'ites. they are united and talking peacefully to solve disagreements.

problem is wahhabism that promotes terrorism.

wahhabism is made by British to make animosity between the Sunni and the Shi'ites to 'devide and rule':

please read this important sescret about wahhabism that is made by Imperialistic British:

Confessions of a British spy and British enmity against Islam

(link below)

Memoirs Of Mr. Hempher, The British Spy To The Middle East is the title of a document that was published in series (episodes) in the German paper Spiegel and later on in a prominent French paper. A Lebanese doctor translated the document to the Arabic language and from there on it was translated to English and other languages. Waqf Ikhlas publications put out and circulated the document in English in hard copy and electronically under the title: Confessions of a British spy and British enmity against Islam. This document reveals the true background of the Wahhabi movement which was innovated by Mohammad bin abdul Wahhab and explains the numerous falsehood they spread in the name of Islam and exposes their role of enmity towards the religion of Islam and towards prophet Mohammad sallallahu ^alayhi wa sallam and towards Muslims at large. No wonder the Wahhabis today stand as the backbone of terrorism allowing and financing and planning shedding the blood of Muslims and other innocent people. Their well known history of terrorism as documented in Fitnatul Wahhabiyyah by the mufti of Makkah, Sheikh Ahmad Zayni Dahlan, and their current assassinations and contravention is due to their ill belief that all are blasphemers save themselves. May Allah protect our nation from their evils.

Wahabis/Salafists are the ones who comprise Taliban, Al-Qaeda members, found mostly around Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Afghanistan and elsewhere. they are pretty much, the Muslim version of the Evangelical church; only, if they're not kept under control, they can get dangerous. Salafists are the ones who are sniper-shooting Syrians and doing suicide-bombings around Syria and Iraq.

please look at this short beautiful story of:

Ibn Saud, Wahhabis, and Oil, to 1945

Wahhabism and the Saud Family; oil and geologists from the United States

please distinguish between sunni Muslims and extremist Wahhabi (Salafi).

Salaf literally means "past people"[=Sahaba] and Salafi means who follows Sahaba of prophet. but today Salafi is same as Wahhabi. but they do not like to be called Wahhabi. they prefer to be called Salafi. Wahhabism is founded by Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab based on beliefs of Ibn Taymiyyah in Saudi Arabia. today Wahhabism is based in Saudi Arabia and is propagating beliefs of Wahhabism in world very powerful and with high financial support by petrodollars from Saudi Royal family.

Wahhabi is in fact supported by US, Israel and England to make conflict inside Muslims and finally to destroy Islam.

Ashura day keep the message of Imam Hussein (sa) alive to reach all humans.

Husain (sa) wanted to send his message with his blood to all the world and to all the humans.

the message of Hussain is:

there is two different Kind of Islam.

the pure Islam of prophet and Islam of Yazid (Ummayids) who celebrated killing of Husain (sa) the Imam and real Caliph of their time.

Husain (sa) said:

with Yazid, Salam [bye] to Islam.

Quran says:

"[en.sahih] Have you made the providing of water for the pilgrim and the maintenance of al-Masjid al-Haram equal to [the deeds of] one who believes in Allah and the Last Day and strives in the cause of Allah? They are not equal in the sight of Allah. And Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people. [9:19]"

please read this books to know Wahhabism more (in below links)

Wahhabism is the continue of deviated version of Islam made by Yazid and Umayyad dynasty to can control ignorant Muslims for their worldly greeds.

top Umayyad leaders (abu sufyan,..) did not have any belief in God and Quran and revelation.

Why do you hear about Islamic fundamentalists when no one reports on the Christian fundamentalists?

Christian "fundamentalists" don't blow people up or kill innocents because they disagree with what they believe. Christian "fundamentalism" simply means going back to the basics of Christianity as taught by Jesus. Islamic fundamentalism means going back to Mohamed's original method of spreading his religion, which was to conquer by violence those who would not accept his new religion. Remember Waco, Texas? The Christian Davidian movement? Christian fundamentalists who cause harm to innocents are reported on and are dealt with.

What are the Islamic fundamentalists trying to do?

True Islamic fundamentalists just follow their religion strictly and try to bring the truth of Islam to ther people. Just as a good mathematician is required to follow the fundamentals of maths, a good Muslim is required to follow the fundamentals of Islam srtictly. Just as we don't label good mathematician as fundamentalist, we should not also label good Muslims as fundamentalists. It is however worth noting that the aliban and the Al-Qaeda are not fundamentalist Islamic organisations. Islam calls for complete security of civilians of every faith and uplift of women. The people who close girl's schools and attack unarmed civilians are not Muslims and so the word Islamic Fundamentalist should not be applied to these organisations. Thus, the Islamic Fundamentalists are trying to set up a peaceful and prosperous world while the Deviants are trying to upset the world under the label of Islam.

What of the following describes a major cause of the rise in Islamic fundamentalists during the Cold War?

One major cause of the rise in Islamic fundamentalists during the Cold War was the perception that Western influences were encroaching on Islamic societies, leading some to believe that their cultural identity and values were under threat. Additionally, the support of authoritarian regimes by Western powers in the region, such as the Shah of Iran, fueled resentment among certain segments of the population, pushing them towards more radical ideologies.
