When it has been pressed and the light is on, the transmission is limited to 3rd gear.
Inside the transmission, on the valve body. It is the one with the long wiring pigtail on it.

i dont know what type of transmission you have but i had mine done in a 1999 dodge caravan with overdrive and it cost me 1200.00 dollars. that depends what is wrong with it but a ford pickup transmission will cost about 2000 dollars, dodge and chev are higher
There are three plugs on this transmission. The forward plug is for the neutral safety/reverse right switch. The middle plug is for the overdrive/torque converter solenoids and governor sensor. The rear most plug is the output speed sensor.
