The idea in this statement is that man has the right to seek happiness. We are not guaranteed happiness, but we can seek it and God gave man this right. This was a revolutionary idea when it was written, but today people seem to feel that they have a guarantee to happiness from the government. You have this right, but it is up to you to be happy.
Unalienable means you have the God given right to be happy. When this was written they didn't mean you could do anything you want to be happy. Actually it is up to you to make yourself happy and not the governmental job to make you happy.

The Declaration of Independence, written by Thomas Jefferson in 1776, states that all individuals are entitled to certain unalienable rights, including "Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness." John Locke (Not John Locked) was the inventer of The Social Contract. Locke's Contract states that people had certain unalienable rights, mainly life, liberty, and property. The authors of the Declaration of Independence were protesting British rule over the American colonies, claiming that the British government had violated these rights. (The Declaration of Independence features "the pursuit of happiness" instead of property as the third unalienable right) *Unalienable rights mean rights that are automatically given to everyone*
To pursue happiness means actively seeking and prioritizing activities and experiences that bring joy, fulfillment, and satisfaction to your life. It involves focusing on what makes you genuinely happy, cultivating positive emotions, and making choices that contribute to your overall well-being and contentment.

The Declaration of Independence speaks of self evident truths. These truths include the fact that all men are equal, and that all people should be free to pursue happy lives in whatever way they see fit.
Some of the rights of mankind come from (are "endowed," or given by) mankind's Creator (note capital "c" in that word). They are "unalienable," in that one can never be "alienated" from them (i.e. they can never be taken away).Among these "unalienable rights" are "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness".Well... that's MY 2-cents worth, anyway... too bad we have drifted from this. plus it is like moe then eough then what you think it is so please say what you please it is not the
