The word Hajj means the pilgrimage to mecca or the Kaa'ba.
It is possible that 'makka' is not a word, or there is no English translation. If one is looking to translate 'mecca,' it generally means any place that draws a large number of people.
Considering the word "idol" in its famous meanings, there is no idol in Mecca. There is no idol in Al-Masjid Al-Haram (the Grand mosque) in Mecca or any where else in Mecca. You may mean the building that is surrounded by Al-Masjid Al-Haram, that is called Kaba. However, Kaba is not an idol. It is not for worship. It is holy building to turn around during Hajj or Omra while praying for God and requesting His forgiveness.
