they have valve covers that bolt down from the center, with heart shaped chambers on the 5.7 heads and no center intake bolts. the 5.0 vortecs are similar and not as good but still will flow really well compared to most heads and the old camel backs or humps.
the fastest way to tell is if the center intake bolts are not there.
the vortec heads that everyone wants for performance have no center intake bolts.
