All dogs shed, even the "hairless" breeds. As far as low maintenance with grooming, and less shedding than others, some smaller Dog Breeds (under 30 pounds) to consider would be:
Chinese Crested (hairless) and the Dandie Dinmont Terrier.
You might also want to see if the maintenance fits your lifestyle with the following small breeds:
Affenpinscher, Bedlington Terrier, Bichon Frise, Bolognese, Brussels Griffon, Havanese, Lakeland Terrier, Maltese, Miniature Schnauzer, PBGV (Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen), miniature and toy Poodles, Puli, Shih-Tsu, Welsh Terrier, Yorkshire Terrier.
u r better off looking towards small short haired dogs like Chihuahua
a moodle is the best a malteese cross toy poodle we have one and he has nevere been aggressive ever
well poodles and jack Russel mostly small dogs or a really lazy dog like a wiener dog
Dutchhound.
shedding actually depends on the breed of dog. for instance, some breeds do not shed at all.
Bichon Frise, Portuguese Water Dog, Schnauzers do not shed a lot.
poodles, labradoodles
nope but there are dog breeds that shed less so they're called hypoallergenic no dog is auctually hypoallergic they just shed a lot less than other dog breeds
The term Gentle Giant was originally applied to those breeds of dog who were greater than 30" at their withers AND had gentle instinct. That being said it included the Saint Bernard, Newfoundland (who is shorter than 30" on average these days), Great Dane, (Old English) Mastiff, Great Pyrenees. The term was not meant to include the breeds of dog who can be greater than 30 inches at their withers, but who are not on average specifically gentle. So even though a Fila Brasileiro can be gentle, that breed is not considered to be a gentle breed. Neither is an Akbash dog specifically gentle, nor a Tibetan Mastiff, and certainly not a Rottweiller. Again, these dogs can certainly be gentle, but their breeds are not "Gentle Giant" breeds.
As with most dog breeds a wolf does constantly shed fur, replaced by new fur growth.
Yes, most breeds of dog (including English Bull Terriers) shed their fur throughout the year, but particularly in the summer. Breeds that do not shed are Poodles and Shih Tzu's.
There is no such thing as a dog that does not shed at all. Some dog breeds shed more than others. Some dog breeds that shed very little are: Most of the wire haired breeds, such as the Border Terrier and the Airedale Terrier Australian Terrier Cairn Terrier Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier Irish Water Spaniel Wirehaired Fox Terrier Italian Greyhound Lhasa Apso Poodle (all sizes) West Highland White Terrier Schnauzer (all sizes)
The Norwich Terrier does shed, but not as much as other dog breeds. It is a very light shedder. Grooming, bathing, and brushing a dog can make them shed less. These dogs have shaggy, medium length, waterproof coats.
newfoundlands are considered by most to be one of the gentlest breeds.
Well, Beagles don't shed as much as other dog breeds. They might let out some hair in some sessons
Because their coats are curly, hair that comes loose tends to get trapped by the hair around it, meaning the dog doesn't shed like other breeds.
