When the Europeans colonized a area they committed ecological and economic terrorism on the people living there. They brought in plants, animals, and insects not native to the area and fenced off whole tracts of land cutting down trees and clearing land. Not only did they ruin the land they brought diseases that killed the Native Americans and they forced them off ancestral lands. All the way around from 1604 to 1800's the Native Americans lost to the invasion by the Europeans. Forced onto reservations they were starved to death, not allowed to practice religious/ cultural ritual, and their children were removed to government schools. This is the effect of colonialism.
