Huntington's disease is a genetic disorder. In other words, it runs in the family. It is not contagious. You are born with it and the symptoms show up as you age.
There is no cure for Huntington's Disease at this time, and I know of no cases of spontaneous remission (disease just goes away) Survival rate is not an appropriate term. Some people live a long and productive life with Huntington's, some people are affected earlier or more profoundly.
