What are the effects on the environment from the flood?

Because of the floods the water is pushing away all of the trees. All of the rocks are disintegrating of the waters current. The flooding has blocked up the draining making the sewers overload, which is how water born diseases, start to spread. Also the flooding it has destroyed the crops making it hard to find food, for all the people. Because of the flooding is making the building collapse away, the toxic paint, pesticide and gasoline can be released to the water harming the environment.
Floods destroy homes, kill animals and humans alike but they also bring fresh soil and new life to the land they effect.

The effect that floods have over people and the environment are very upsetting. Floods can ruin your houses that can take years to repair or even cost what you don't have. This is caused by houses built in the drainage basin. Floods can also be caused by trees being cut down, water log, heavy rain, hard dry soil. The reason being for hard soil contributing to the event of a flood is because it doesn't slow down the surface run off, on terrain such as steep slopes. Impermeable rock also contributes to this area. To say that something is impermeable, it means that water (e.g) can't get into the soil or rock that it is running along. The impermeable layer is'NT necessarily always on top, it can be underneath the top soil, like granite. Also, if you think about it economically, many people get swept away from there home in the flood, but this is great, as it takes them to an undiscovered island and can build resorts and make millions. That's how people started going to France!
Floods effect the ecosystem as they wipe out an amount of area. This could be large or small. The larger it is, the more of the ecosystem it wipes out. It wipes it out as it could simply wipe out the producer in the food chain (plant) which would mean the rest of the food chain would collapse which would kill other food chains. it could also be worse though as it could also wipe out prey or predators which would also effect food chains and webs. This all causes an effect on the ecosystem.

Floods are naturally occurring phenomena. Floods do have positive impacts on environment as well as negative ones....Floods maintain ecosystem habitats & soil fertility. Human activities have deeply affected flood plains and the nature of flooding. Activities such as drainage of wetlands & land clearance for farming, upstream development that replaces natural vegetation with paved asphalt; and construction of channels, levees, reservoirs change the flood cycle often result in increased run off, destruction of riparian habitat and increased water pollution. All which can be considered destructive to natural environment.

flooding is actually good for the environment because it gives the soil lots of nutrients, ancient people used to settle around rivers that would flood because thos places would produce more food

Also,

Flooding can and does destroy lives. Home insurance is null and void unless one has flood insurance. it's expensive insurance and is worthless unless the whole home floats away, generally speaking. Imagine your mental state if your family and possessions left in a wave of water never to return. You're left broke and alone. Talk about mental anguish.

Floods can destroy all.

Well, floods cause sasquatch to be very upset because his home gets destroyed and his family members die. So what does he do? He goes on a killing rampage and kills all the goats and onions so that no one can eat or drink, since everybody love onions and goats milk. You can catch HAIDS from the flood waters which is a mixture of herpes and AIDS and you will be put into a room and be fed pancakes and Pizza for your whole life. I hope I helped :)
