TLC or Total Leukocyte Count - The leukocytes, or white blood cells, defend the body against infecting organisms and foreign agents, both in the tissues and in the bloodstream itself (Immune System). Human blood contains about 5,000 to 10,000 leukocytes per cubic millimeter. All blood cells (red, white, and platelets) are formed in the Bone Marrow.

You can save money by first going to your primary doctor, if you do not have one, it can be done at a clinic. If they are too low you may be safe, referred to an Oncologist (Cancer Doctor) or a Hematologist (Blood Doctor) if you know for sure your WBC-White Blood Cells are under 50,000, if so you should be checked for Leukemia, or other forms of Cancer or MDS, they will know what to look for to see if you just have a low immune system. In any case where the white cells are very low, you will be having an abnormal amount of unexplained infections.
