The effect would of course be quite drastic. But that is all very hypothetical; it is
not likely to happen. We will probably depend on the use of a combination of
energy sources / energy technologies for quite a while.
Just in case you believe that you just discovered a radically new energy
technology, make sure it works first. It is most likely that it WON'T work;
but if it does, you can worry about marketing it later.
By all means, don't forget to patent it ! And be aware that during that process,
you'll need to demonstrate that it works.
update: Note that there were two working models which went to the Pentagon and NASA. Our government has chosen not bring this technology to humanity.
Hence the above question(s). I do not have the resources, other than this writing, to crunch the numbers to find our answers. I've written to numerous University's and Colleges seeking answer's to the above. You answered it generally, which is good enough. I was hoping someone in this forum could provide
We have the intellectual rights to the "MPDW", (Magnetic Propulsion Drive Wheel), and are currently in the process of developing another prototype that operates more efficiently. Our major problem is the technology we have seems to be able to eliminate petroleum totally as a fuel source for automobiles, generators, power supply to cities.
In addition:
And why do you say that this is a major problem. Because major oil producers will block it. This is not a forum to show off your ideas. It would be better on Quora and a well done website.
For vehicles, electricity has a lower cost per mile than gasoline. For home use, electric heating units are cheaper than those that use oil or a mix of oil and gas for home heating. Overall electricity can be created in more ways than gasoline so there are more sources of it whereas gasoline and petrol production is based on the cost per barrel of oil.
A solar power generator produces electricity from sunlight, as opposed generators that use gasoline. The solar units are non-polluting and quiet (gasoline generators are quite noisy!), but they produce far less energy than gasoline generators and require that sunlight be available.
Gasoline should not be disposed of just anywhere. It can have harmful effects on the environment. Gasoline can also catch on fire. Gasoline can be recycled.
Fossil Fuels
8,800 gallons of gasoline weighs about 54,141 pounds.
In what year did Henry Ford introduce gasoline powered cars?
in 1896.
Henry Ford did not introduce the gasoline powered car, He innovated with the use of a production line to lower costs and provide cars that the masses could afford. His Model T was introduced in September of 1908.
Water, Electricity, and Gasoline
For heat, electricity,and gasoline.
A Hybrid
a hybrid car
Most of the used citroen vehicles that I have looked up have taken gasoline or diesel. The 2011 has a new hybrid option available that takes electricity.
In 1896 Henry Ford had completed his first experimental gasoline powered automobile called Ford's Quadricycle.
There are two main ways that gasoline can be used to generate electricity: through a generator, or through a fuel cell. The first method is by far the most common. In a gasoline generator, the gas is fed into an internal combustion engine, which turns a generator to create electricity. This method is very inefficient due to the number of times that the energy changes forms (from chemical, to heat, to mechanical, to electrical) the engine itself only converts 25-30% of the chemical energy into mechanical energy. Unfortunately, gasoline fuel cell technology hasn't quite gotten out of the R & D phase, but the idea is to split the gasoline molecules' hydrogen atoms off and guide them across a membrane to the oxygen where they combine to form water. Electricity is produced in this reaction when hydrogen is forced to give up its electron in order to cross the membrane. Viola, electricity. Fuel cells are extremely efficient ranging from converting 75% of the chemical energy into electricity to 95%. Part of this is due to the fact that fuel cells convert the chemical energy of gasoline immediately into electricity. This also reduces the energy lost due to heat in the combustion process.
Nothing "creates" energy. The chemical energy in gasoline can be converted to electrical energy by burning the gasoline in an internal combustion engine that's connected to a generator.
