About 30 years ago Cyprus was literally divided in half, one for the Turkish Cypriots and one for the Greek Cypriots. In 1971,or sometime then, the government decided it was unfair that the Turkish Cypriots could not mix with the Greek Cypriots so now we live together as one big family in perfect harmony and Greek Cypriots speak Turkish and Turkish Cypriots speak Greek.
