a check engine light that flashes while driving has nothing to do with the speed sensor or alternator a flashing engine light shows that there is problem that is causing catylitic conver damage for instance if you had a bad spark plug or spark plug wire that was causing a missfire then the light will flash there is no other reason for the light to flash
Many stars which are members of an open cluster are blue, hot stars, with relatively short life expectancies (a few hundred thousand years to a couple of million years life).
Instrument Cluster Removal & Installation 1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. 2. Remove the cluster opening trim panel. 3. On vehicles equipped with an automatic transmission, remove the loop on the indicator cable assembly from the retainer pin. Remove the thumbwheel bracket screw from the cable bracket and slide the bracket out of the slot in the steering column tube. 4. Remove the instrumental cluster retaining bolts. 5. Pull the instrumental cluster out of the instrument panel. 6. Detach the electrical connectors. 7. Remove the instrument cluster. To install; 8. The installation is the reverse of the removal. 9. Connect the battery cable, and check the operation of all gauges, lights and signals. *** Turn the light bulb housing counter clock wise. Sometimes they are very hard to turn. Don't be afraid to turn them. ***
In most cases, no. In many cases they're nowhere near each other in three-dimensional space, and only appear to be near each other from our vantage point. There are a couple of notable exceptions; for example, most of the bright stars in Ursa Major (including all the stars in the "big dipper" except for Alpha and Eta, which are the ones at each end) are part of the Ursa Major Moving group (not quite a cluster, but definitely associated with each other).
a couple of pounds. a couple of pounds. a couple of pounds.
They eat enough, and AFTER eating, they don't have to again for up to seven months.
I believe that when the PATS theft light is blinking RAPIDLY it is because you are trying to start the car with a non-PATS coded key. If it is blinking every couple of seconds SLOWLY, it just means the system is monitoring the ignition.
There's a couple of answers to this post if you search.
Shaft(rotor) of DC motor and Alternator(AC Generator) are alligned axially and radially to each other and connected.
1. Disconnect battery cables. 2. Remove and replace alternator. 3. Reconnect battery cables. The alternator should be held in place by a couple of bolts. what about the belt tension
I would expect couple hundred dollars at least for a new alternator plus labor.
You have to pull the instrument cluster. The finsh panel needs to be removed first (screws are located inside the cluster area then there are a couple of clips holding it in.), the cluster is held in by 4 screws, once they are loose you should be able to lay the cluster forward, there are little sockets that can be turned a quarter turn that pull out, the bulbs are in each socket sockets may be white, gray or black. The bulbs are special and hard to find, you might have to go to a dealer to get them. If anyone has a better source for them I am all ears!
The alternator is mounted on an adjustment bracket. You can loosen the lower bolt a couple turns then loosen the upper bolt a couple turns and slide the alternator forward to get the old belt off and the new belt on. Hold the alternator back with a big screwdriver or breaker bar to re-tension the new belt while you tighten the top bolt, then tighten the bottom bolt.
Sometimes when parts are new, they have coatings and etc. that will smell when parts are warm. For example, alternator windings are coated with a electrical varnish. When the alternator is charging, it creates heat. This causes the paint to smell and odors such as a burning smell can be common for a couple of days.
Changing an alternator isn't GENERALLY a difficult process. I'd estimate around an hour of labor - so whatever they charge per hour plus the cost of the alternator. Possibly a couple a hundred bucks.
I have a '93 with a blinking airbag light. I have been told by a couple of repair places that the only way to fix it is to take apart the entire dash on the car which would be very very expensive. Mine has been blinking for three years.
It just happened to me a couple days ago..I found that my alternator belt broke and had to be replaced.
check out your alternator
