In the beginning of episode 39 of Tokyo Mew Mew they show Kisshu as a young boy. Kisshu has been injured by the blue night, and he is thinking about how all of his plans never succeed. Then it flashes back to his home and his childhood when he thinks about how he doesn't want to let his people down.
