At first Kisshu thinks of her as a toy and enjoys poking fun at her, but as time goes on he starts falling for her. Ichigo, however, never shares this feeling of love with him. Kisshu does everything he can think of in order to make her love him. In numerous episodes Kisshu tries to take Aoyoma out of the picture. Kisshu even severely damages his relationship with Deep Blue in order to protect her. In episode 45 of the anime he even offers to go to an uninhabited planet to be together with no fighting.

Ichigo is a protagonist in the manga and anime series Tokyo Mew Mew, and Kisshu is one of the antagonists who is in love with Ichigo. Throughout the series, Kisshu's feelings for Ichigo cause conflict and drive much of the plot.
