The vast majority of Germans are of the Nordic race. They are similar to the Dutch and the Danes and even the English. After the war, Stalin forced the expulsion of ethnic Germans from the Volga region of the Soviet Union back to Germany. The Polish government also expelled Germans from East Prussia back to Germany after the war. Germany, today, is the home of over 3 million Turks. They are primarily concentrated in Berlin. After the war, there were few German men that were available to help rebuild the bombed-out cities. Over 5 million German soldiers were killed during the war. In the 1950's, Italians and Portuguese also came to Germany or at that time, West Germany, to find employment. There is a sizeable Moslim population as well. The Roman Catholic Church and the Lutherans are the 2 largest religions. The Muslims are probably the 3rd largest now and growing. Unfortunately, there are less than 20 thousand Jews left in the whole country. One must understand that religion doesn't play much a role in society. I doubt if 10% of the population attends church regularly. The Germans who experienced the horrors of World War 2, lost their religion after being brainwashed for years by the Nazis and seeing all the carnage and destruction heaped upon them-including my parents!
