There really isn't, except for the theory that Bigfoot is a guy in a gorilla suit (WHICH ISN'T TRUE, BIGFOOT LIVES!!!!)
This question calls for an opinion and opinions differ. Do not remove answers simply because you disagree with them.Mine is that it should be filed in the same category as the tooth fairy, vampires and werewolves. That is to say in fiction.Another answerOne of the theory is The Bigfoot-Giganto Theory (hypothesis). The subject of Gigantopithecus has attracted an increasing amount of interest anthropologists and primatologitsts over the past few decades. The Bigfoot-Giganto hypothesis suggests that bigfoots are surving relatives of the genus Gigantopithecus. Gigantopithecus (the Latin word for "Giant Ape") was a giant cousin of the orangutan. It was presumed to be extinct. That may sound like you theory more or less.
"Devil Monkey" is a nickname for "Bigfoot," also called a "Sasquatch," an ape-like Cryptid (legendary creature) purported to inhabit forests of Pacific Northwest America. Some supporters of the Bigfoot Theory have suggested that Sasquatches might be surviving members of the genus Gigantopithecus, while others have suggested it could be a member of the genus Paranthropus, both of which are thought (with good evidence) to be extinct. Others have even suggested that the ever-evasive Bigfoot could be a member of the Homo genus, specifically Homo erectus, Homo heidelbergensis, or even Homo neanderthalensis. So far the only evidence that such a creature might exist is circumstantial at best, and certainly not enough to assign a nomenclature to the infamous "Devil Monkey."
None exists.
you must understand this is very subjective many sightings are made up but I and some scientists to think yes he or it is real it is most likely it is a freak of nature a creature which broke of from us and did not evolve one theory sugests gigantopithecus which is very likely if you look at the footprints some scientists found in the snow so it could be that gigantopithecus did not die out as we believe and or gigantopithecus evolved a bit and does no exist but is very rare. so yes I believe it does exist. sorry I did not give enough information but i am only 10.
If the evidence is accurate, it may disprove the theory.
say the theory of bigfoot
Most Bigfoot investigators favor one theory of Bigfoot's origin or existence and stake their reputations on it, sniping at others who don't share their views. Many times, what one investigator sees as clear evidence of Bigfoot another will dismiss out of hand. In July 2000, curious tracks were found on the Lower Hoh Indian Reservation in Washington state. Bigfoot tracker Cliff Crook claimed that the footprints were "for sure a Bigfoot," though Jeffrey Meldrum, an associate professor of biological sciences at Idaho State University decided that there was not enough evidence to pursue the matter. A set of tracks found in Oregon's Blue Mountains have also been the source of controversy within the community.
There are two main theories about Bigfoot. One is Bigfoot is the missing link, an ancient man. The second is, Bigfoot is an ancient ape, Gigantipithicus Blaki.
Many scientists dismissed the theory because it flew in the face of conventional wisdom.
"Evidence". There's no special term to distinguish evidence supporting one theory in science from evidence supporting any other theory in science.

How long is a piece of string? The strength of a theory is tied to how much evidence is for or against it, so there can be no general answer to your question.
