The best example for this would be South America and Africa. If you put them together its like two jigsaw pieces coming together. It took millions of years for Africa and South America to seperate from each other. If you look on a map and just visually push these two continents together they fit each other quite nicely.

The theory of Plate Tectonics is about how the continents move around on the surface of the earth. Using South America and Africa as an example one can see how Plate tectonics has occurred. Also the continents never stop moving. More information on the link provided below.

no because of the pangea they split up and broke into pieces

Where did wegener gather his evidence to support his theory?

With his huge DIC-tionary which he used to communicate with the people in Africa and South America, as he found similar fossils in both of those countries, and that was how he made his theory that all the continents were once connected, because there would be no other way that the animal he discovered would be able to swim all the was across the ocean. That was the longest sentence I have ever written.

Which would call a peninsula Canada Italy Germany?

A peninsula is an area of land that is attached to a larger landmass, but is surrounded by water on three or more sides. Both Canada and Germany are firmly embedded within their respective landmasses. Italy, however, is connected to Europe only on its northern end, and is surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea on three sides, making Italy a peninsula.

What lack of evidence weakens the theory of an asteroid?

A lack of evidence would weaken any theory. But the well known asteroids have well defined orbits.

How can fossil evidence be used to support the idea the at all the contents were once connected?

Since you see the same fossils from on continent to another, it proves that all the continents were once connected. Let's say one fossil of a small animal is found on one continent, and on another far away, such as Antarctica and Africa. It would be impossible for the small animal to swim from Antarctica to Africa or Africa to Antarctica because it is a small animal, after all. Plus, it might not be a sea animal (let's say it's not for this scenario, so that we can prove that all the continents were once connected). Therefore, you can say that they were all once connected since the fossils of this small land animal were found in Antarctica and Africa, and it would have been impossible for it to get across if the continents weren't connected. So, since the continents were connected before, this small land animal could easily walk over from Antarctica to Africa or Africa to Antarctica. This just supports the idea that all the continents were once connected. There are more facts to go into it, such as how all the continents somewhat fit together like a puzzle. Hope I helped :)

Why would you expect to see similar rocks and rock sturctures on two landmasses that were connected at one time?

because if there was life when the continents were together and then died when the continents separted there would be similar fossils.

Why would you expect to see similar rocks and rock structures on two landmasses that were connected at on time?

Because scientist believe that all land was connceted once,so the rocks where the fission occured would have been the same.

Why would expect to see similar rocks or rock structures in two landmasses that were connected at one time?

Because where they have been broke appart for a long period of time, the rocks started to form.

Why would you expect to see similar rock structures on two landmasses that were once connected?

Because continental drift occurred at that time but as time passed the continents again drift apart but keeping the fossils of the plant or animal still in that one continent, therefore having the fossil be separated.

Can you glow led by using neutral and earth?

Why does India have evidence of glaciers that are more than 240 years old enen though it is located on the equator?
