I believe no one knows! Searching the internet, I can find that it is seamless and made of carbon steel. I can locate suppliers and potential purchasers. But I cannot find out what it is used for or what the acronym stands for.
E.F.S.W stands for Electro Fusion Seam Welded and is generally used in the construction ferrous piping of diameters 16" and above for carbon steel. In Stainless Steel piping E.F.S.W. is used for 10" diameters and above
