Mesopotamia, present day Iraq, was an ancient civilization. Factors that affected it was that when the people living there changed from hunters and gathers to the earliest farmers, they discovered that in that mesopatamia area, farming was easier there. That was because it was located between two rivers, therefore mesopotamia means land between two rivers. On the north was a mountain that melted snow and carried fertile soil. Also, the invention of writing using styluses on clay plates, wheels, levees, plows, and calenders helped modern their society. Many other things influenced the rise of civilization in Mesopotamia.
