The most important thing to consider is the purpose behind buying a laptop. Laptops are excellent for limiting your time to one activity, such as internet or gaming. If the purpose is to do nearly everything, the best direction to go is to settle for a desktop. If a laptop is used for more than a couple purposes, it's going to need constant charging.
