well the answer is, they aren't. Although many celebrities are actors and actresses not much of the actors and actresses are famous. for instance, very few theatre actors become famous. if you are a film actor your chances are higher but still slim. If they want to be famous many singers/actors/ect turn to tabloids to get them famous. Though, the reason they are famous other than that is mainly that if people like them they will win awards or be asked to be in more well-known films and people will become used to seeing their name or photograph.
