It was a followup convention from the 1848 Seneca Falls Convention in which Stanton and Anthony addressed the issues of enfranchising woman's rights, such as suffrage and ownership of property. Both conventions brought awareness to the feminist cause, although Seneca Falls, for the drafting of the Declaration of Sentiments, is more famous.
