In Firefox, you can delete items from the Bookmarks area of your internet by right clicking each item and clicking Delete.
Computers store data in a series of directories. Each directory, or folder, may contain files or other directories. If a directory is located within another directory, it is called a sub-directory (or sub-folder) of that folder.

You can build a new profile for removing the favorites. Each new profile would have their favorites defined.

Mac OS X stores most preferences in the Preferences folder within the Library folder. There are two Library folders one at the hard disc level available to everybody and one in each user account where individual users keep their personal settings. (These instructions apply to version 3.6 and later) At the top of the Firefox window: On the menu bar, click on the Help menu and select Troubleshooting Information. The Troubleshooting Information tab will open. Under Application Basics, click on Open Containing Folder. A window with your profile files folder will open. On the menu bar, click the File menu and select Exit. Open the file persdict.dat, found in the profile files folder you just opened, with a text editor. (Such as Wordpad) In the text editor each word you've added is on a separate line. Remove the line containing the word you wish to remove. Click the File menu, and select Save, to save your work.
