(These instructions apply to version 3.6 and later)
At the top of the Firefox window: On the menu bar, click on the Help menu and select Troubleshooting Information. The Troubleshooting Information tab will open.
Under Application Basics, click on Open Containing Folder. A window with your profile files folder will open.
On the menu bar, click the File menu and select Exit.
Open the file persdict.dat, found in the profile files folder you just opened, with a text editor. (Such as Wordpad)
In the text editor each word you've added is on a separate line. Remove the line containing the word you wish to remove.
Click the File menu, and select Save, to save your work.

Microsoft Word (and Mozilla's Firefox) uses a red wavy underline to indicate words that are not in the spell-check list for the program.
Point your arrow to the Firefox word across the top of your screen. Scroll just one space to "About Mozilla Firefox", click on it and that box will tell you what version you have.

Spell check can tell if a word is misspelled, but it cannot tell if a word is misused.
If you are using a Microsoft Office product, they have a spell checker build in. Most websites have a built in spell checker. If you want a third party software, you can download Spellex-Anywhere (or just spellex).
