There are no food taboos in mainstream Christianity:- in fact it is a main idea of the religion that there be no food taboos (See Acts 10:15, 16).
Various Christian cults have adopted food taboos from other religions, in an attempt to make themselves more exclusive:- but if you observe a food taboo you are going directly against The Bible.
Additional perspective:In 1 Timothy chapter 4, Paul makes a scathing indictment of some who will "depart from the faith;" this departure includes commanding to abstain from certain foods. Then he says in verses 4, 5 - For every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be refused if it is received with thanksgiving; for it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.Christians in general are allowed to eat all kinds of food. As stated in Rom 14:20(KJV), "For meat destroy not the work of God. All things indeed are pure; but it is evil for that man who eateth with offence." So food by themselves are all okay, yet for someone who sincerely and truly think something is sinful to consume, then let him not consume it or it will be a sin to him.
However, we are also told not to stumble others by our liberty in feeding. This is as stated in 1 Corinthians 8:13 (KJV) "Wherefore, if meat make my brother to offend, I will eat no flesh while the world standeth, lest I make my brother to offend."
..................................
if you read Act 10:28 you will see that the vision which Peter received was not concerning food.
Leviticus 11 and Deuteronomy 14 3-21 clearly state which animals Jews can and cannot eat and also how to identify them. These laws which God have regarding clean and unclean food still stands today Malachi 3:6.
Christians don't believe this but most Jews still do follow this.
Muslims Don't Eat dead meat, blood, the flesh of swine, and that on which hath been invoked a name other than that of Allah."
There are no restictions for Christians regarding food comsumption. The rules in Liviticus (Old Testament) only applys to Jews, not to gentiles.
Christians do not have any food restrictions because of religion. You may be confusing Christianity with Judaism.
