Every person is different on what is a catalyst for them with food and Fibro. For example many can not drink coffee, I can and it does not cause pain. However there are a few areas that I have found cause pain with many people living with Fibromyalgia.

Eat as clean as possible, if you are eating processed foods it is almost a sure thing that it will cause an increase in pain. Do not think I am saying never eat a favourite food, choose a day that you can (and this will be easier as you move forward in the process, and eating clean becomes more of a routine instead of a chore) cheat and eat something that you love but not great for you. Dont do a whole day of binge eating, choose one thing and make sure it is worth it. You can eat many favourites just make a few adjustments.

The other thing is sugar, white sugar, brown sugar, and especially sugar substitutes are horrible. There are a few sugar alternatives that are natural, honey, sugar cane, agave, and they are all great for baking or cooking.

Figure out what you like and just experiment, I still eat pasta, and rice, and wings, just a few changes I made, and I have been pain free for almost two years, and diet was a huge thing. Listen to your body, it will tell you.

Fibromyalgia affects people in different ways and one person may be able to eat a rich and varied diet with no side effects. Products to potentially avoid, based on any symptoms they may cause, include products containing MSG, preservatives, gluten, dairy, eggs or other common allergens such as nuts.
